How it works
We will send an email weekly to tell what’s ready. You must be signed up for our email list http://eepurl.com/djNhPr.
Picks are announced a few days in advance with how many spots are available on our website, Facebook and Instagram. You must book a spot in order to pick on that day. The cost to reserve your spot is $5.00 per person up to $20.00 for a group of 6. Children 10 and under are free. We will have 3 time slots and you will have 1 hour to pick. Scheduling will be on our website and that is the only way to sign up. No emails, social media messages and text will result in a spot to pick. Before we announce the picks we will assess the amount of produce ready and number of spots available. There will be no drops ins allowed as we need to be able to assure that you will get a good quality picking.
If you claimed a spot and can’t come you must cancel via text or messenger before midnight to receive a refund. Plus, that will give someone else a chance to pick.
We grow using organic principles and use absolutely NO pesticides. Any white residue will be diatomaceous earth or Kolin Clay which is surface dust only and are easily washed off leaving nothing behind. There are no dogs allowed due to food safety and absolutely no smoking for plant and people health.
It is recommended that you use bug spray because we have bugs that aren’t people friendly such as mosquitoes. Also hats are a good thing because the sun can be intense, also plants are itchy so plan accordingly. You will need to bring buckets, baskets or whatever you will be using to put vegetables in as you are picking. We will have clippers for you to use. We do have a portapotty available on site.
We encourage you to take lots of photos for this fun experience and if you do, please share to Facebook and Instragram so we can enjoy them as well.
We ask that you come ready to have fun but please remember this is our home so please be respectful. If you’re not sure how to harvest a certain plant ask lots of questions and don’t damage our plants. Anyone who does not follow the rules or cause a disturbance will not be allowed to come back to our U-Pick.
Your pick time is limited to 1 hour however we have picnic tables set up so you can sit and absorb the beauty of the farm and nature. However we ask that you stay in the U-Pick area as this is a fully functioning farm with farm equipment and animals that bite and peck either of which can cause injury. We are not responsible for any injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of farm activities under Texas Law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice and Remedies Code) No Farm Tours during U-Pick days. They are available by appointment at our convenience and are free.
