We are the Binning’s

Let us introduce ourselves

We are Eddie and Debbie Binning and we are the owners of Binning Farm a 12 acre farm in North East Texas. We have lived here since 1988 and raised 2 sons and 1 daughter. We also have 6 wonderful grandchildren that love to visit the farm as often as possible. So all of this is being done by 2 people that qualify for a senior discount. Eddie woke up one day and thought let’s make this farm pay for itself. So me being the over achiever I am jumped in with both feet. I began doing the Texarkana Farmers Market 4 years ago and barely had enough stuff to fill one table. I made $50.00 that first market and was thrilled. Eddie still works a full time job and on his days off we work on “farm stuff’. Of course he gets to do the heavy hard stuff, after all he has the tractor. We are still newbies in the organic and regenerative stuff but in typical Binning fashion we have jumped in with both feet. We maybe be older but we still learn something every day. We raised our family by growing our food and was well versed in standard farming practices (I could grow some huge corn). However we came to realize that we were not doing ourselves or our farm any good. We now use organic practices in raising everything (you know the jump in with both feet thing). We believe that the world has enough chemicals ruining it so we don’t use any of that stuff here. We also believe regenerative farming practices using the animals and plants together making healthy soil are what will save the planet. So basically we are soil farmers, everything else is a by product of that and while I know we are only  a drop in the contribution to solving the global climate problem remember rain only comes in drops yet many drops can cause a flood. Follow us as we travel on this journey.
